Hi, I’m Jay, the founder of 7 Principled Solutions!
The duality of athletics and education permeates the fiber of my being, and my journey has shaped that dichotomy. Athletics helped make me who I am; my personal and educational journeys taught me more about myself than I ever imagined.

After a 13-year hiatus from college, I returned to earn a Regents Bachelor of Arts degree. I now hold a Master of Arts in Teaching with a certification in Elementary Education (1-6) and Middle School Mathematics (4–9). I will complete the course requirements for my Doctorate in Organizational Leadership in the summer of 2026, with graduation slated for 2027.
As a former college quarterback, I understand the responsibilities and demands of collegiate sports, scholarship, and navigating personal challenges. There is a story behind each of us that constructs our identity. When I reached my own moment of self-determination, my world changed.

My mantra is “always be prepared and always be ready.” Education and continuous learning prepare us for difficult, unpredictable moments. When we are prepared, we are ready to manage any situation through adaptability, dynamism, and versatility.
My journey has been twisted and around each curve, I continued to move forward, grow, and learn. I have relied on my initiative, durability and endurance to overcome the challenges. As I continue to navigate my journey, I am ready to help you with your challenges and to help navigate your journey.
Mission Statement
The Seven Principled Solutions (7PS) mission is to engineer an identity development plan with leadership skills for the individual athlete, and to help athletic teams or organizations develop a culture to meet their goals through seven principled solutions.
Vision Statement
Creating Leaders with Inspiration, Mentoring, and Education (CLIME) by transforming athletes’ consciousness with identity development, planning and accomplishments. After developing short-term and long-term plans based on self-assessment, athletes will be transformed from a student-athlete to a leader and scholar-athlete.
